News National, News Corp Australia
As News Corp’s syndicated network producer, Shona serviced the news, marketing and advertorial needs of News Corp’s Australian network. With much evolution in the digital space, Shona embarked on commissions for the suite of News Corp’s assets in Australia, covering and creating content as chief video correspondent for major events such as the London Olympic Games and the New Delhi Commonwealth Games. Shona’s ability to create high-value content, efficiently and with consistency, resulted in a proliferation of content during her London Games commission, where as sole video producer she filmed, edited and published over sixty unique videos. Likewise, for the New Delhi Commonwealth Games where Shona overcame logistical and security challenges to shoot, edit and publish over forty unique packages for the Commonwealth Games. For the rare occasion of North Queensland’s Solar Eclipse, Shona operated and produced the only livestream package for web consumption on newspaper sites, delivering News Corp’s Solar Eclipse program live and exclusively from Palm Cove. Specialties brought to the News Corp syndicate by Shona included the writing, creative development, production and publication of feature product for breaking news, native advertising, commercial content, feature magazine content and multimedia packages.
